SMC是英国数学基金会UKMT系列中的一个数学竞赛，每年有超过6千多所学校的70多万学生参与，是英国规模蕞大和蕞具影响力的全国性数学测评活动。
参加SMC数学竞赛，可以助力英国G5等名校录取。像牛津大学、剑桥大学这种英国G5院校的面试中就出现过跟SMC数学竞赛差不多的问题，由此可见SMC数学竞赛在英国名校中的认可度非常高。
如果能顺利获得SMC奖项，不仅能丰富学生数学方向的学术背景，还能用于英国本科留学申请材料，为拿下名校录取增加更多可能性。
The SMC (Senior Mathematical Challenge) is part of the UKMT series organized by the UK Mathematics Trust. Each year, more than 700,000 students from over 6,000 schools take part, making it the largest and most influential national mathematics assessment in the UK.
Participating in the SMC can significantly support applications to top UK universities, including the G5. Interview questions from universities such as the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge have included problems similar to those from the SMC, demonstrating the challenge’s high level of recognition among elite institutions.
Achieving an SMC award not only strengthens a student’s academic background in mathematics, but can also be included in UK undergraduate application materials, increasing the likelihood of receiving offers from top universities.
