英国生物测评（中级）（Intermediate Biology Olympiad，简称 IBO）面向高一、高二年级学生，是英国生物测评体系中的初阶赛事。该测评不仅考察学生扎实的生物学基础知识，还着重培养其科学思维能力，鼓励学生进一步探索更高阶的生命科学领域。
在该项测评中取得优异成绩的学生，将在申请世界知名高校的医学、生物、生命科学等理科专业时具备明显优势。作为通往名校的重要学术“敲门砖”，IBO 对申请英美等国家顶尖大学相关专业具有较高认可度，能够有效提升学生在众多申请者中的竞争力。
The Intermediate Biology Olympiad (IBO) is designed for students in Grades 10 and 11 and serves as an introductory-level competition within the UK Biology Olympiad framework. It not only assesses students’ solid foundational knowledge of biology, but also emphasizes the development of scientific thinking, encouraging participants to further explore more advanced areas of the life sciences.
Students who achieve outstanding results in this assessment gain a clear advantage when applying to world-renowned universities for majors such as medicine, biology, and other life science–related disciplines. As an important academic“stepping stone”to top universities, the IBO is highly recognized by leading institutions in the UK, the US, and other countries, and can effectively enhance applicants’ competitiveness among a large pool of candidates.

I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the Gold Medal at the Intermediate Biology Olympiad (IBO). This achievement is not only a recognition of my efforts, but also the result of the guidance, encouragement, and support I have received along the way.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my biology teacher, Mr. Season. I am also especially thankful to my mentor teacher, Ms. Sara, whose patient guidance, insightful advice, and unwavering support played a crucial role throughout my preparation. Her belief in my potential gave me confidence during the most challenging moments.
I would also like to thank my parents for their endless support, understanding, and trust. I want to thank myself for never giving up. This gold medal motivates me to continue exploring biology and to pursue excellence in the future.
我深感荣幸并心怀感激，能够在英国生物中级测评（IBO）中获得金奖。这一成绩不仅是对我个人努力的肯定，更离不开一路以来所得到的指导、鼓励与支持。

I am delighted to receive this award, which represents the result of many days of hard work. I hope to continue achieving such accomplishments and to build a strong foundation in biology, a subject that plays an essential role in many aspects of our daily lives in today’s society.

During the preparation for the IBO, all four students demonstrated strong interest and enthusiasm for science, showcasing their great potential in the scientific field. Moving forward, we will continue to reflect on our experience, identify areas for improvement, and further cultivate students’passion for science so that they may achieve even greater progress and success in their future scientific endeavors.
